Southeast Wisconsin Families Invited to First-Ever Homeschool Expo Designed for All Families — With Deep Resources for Children with Additional Needs
The Wisconsin Homeschooling Expo- Speaking Life Into Homeschool brings vendors, experts, and resources together for all homeschooling families — with special programming and resources for those raising children with additional needs
WAUKESHA, Wis., June 2026 — Families across southeast Wisconsin are invited to attend the Speaking Life Into Homeschool Expo on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Waukesha Expo Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The one-day event brings together vendors, educational resources, and expert presenters to support all homeschooling families — including those raising children with learning differences, developmental delays, autism, ADHD, and other additional needs.
The expo is open to all homeschooling families, regardless of educational philosophy or faith background, and is designed to meet families where they are — whether they are just beginning to consider homeschooling or are looking for better tools and resources to support a child they are already teaching at home.
"So many families are exploring alternative options for their child's learning but don't know where to start," said Elyse Scheeler, founder of Speaking Life Speech Therapy & Wellness and creator of the expo. "We created the expo to be that starting point — a place to get connected to the many resources available right here in Wisconsin, whether that's therapies, enrichment programming, curriculum ideas, or something else entirely. We want families to come for a full day of fun, activities, and the chance to connect with people who get it."
Attendees will have access to exhibit booths featuring curriculum providers, therapy and wellness resources, and family support services. The event will also feature presentations from experts across a range of topics relevant to homeschooling families at every stage of their journey.
