Date Set for Retzer Nature Center's Wild Winter Night
New candlelight hikes will highlight nocturnal animal behaviors. Here's how to go:

WAUKESHA, WI -- The Friends of Retzer Nature Center’s Wild Winter Night returns on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Retzer Nature Center from 6 to 9 p.m. to explore the wonders of the natural world at night.
Retzer Nature Center is located at S14W28167 Madison Street, Waukesha.
“This is a perfect event for residents to celebrate winter in Wisconsin,” said Dale Shaver, Park
System Director. “Cure your cabin fever with candlelight hikes, educational activities, fun
campfire songs, and don’t forget to top it off with some hot cocoa.”

Attendees will enjoy guided nature hikes on candle-lit trails for an in-depth look at the winter world on the Retzer Nature Center grounds. Attendees will be able to borrow snowshoes, enjoy hot
cocoa, s’mores and songs by the campfire and enjoy family friendly nature-themed activities.
Also, the Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium will be offering an indoor planetarium program, “The
Solar System.” Planetarium shows run every half hour from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The event will be held regardless of weather, organizers say.
Admission is $3 per person or $10 per family (two and younger are free). Friends of Retzer
