Deadline Nearing For 2019 Waukesha County Fair Brewing Contest

Contestants can enter a beer in any one of the 130 beer classes based on the Beer Judge Certification Program sanctioned rules.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Members of the public are once again invited to participate in this year's Waukesha County Fair Amateur Beer Competition, an open competition for home brewers.

Contestants can enter a beer in any one of the 130 beer classes based on the Beer Judge Certification Program sanctioned rules. Beers will be judged by Raised Grain and BJCP certified judges.

Prizes include a Waukesha County Fair Blue Ribbon and the chance for the "Best In Show" to be brewed at Raised Grain on a commercial level.

Amateur Beer Competition Details:

  • Entry submissions are due June 15 by 11:59 p.m.
  • Beer Submission Drop-Off will be at Raised Grain Brewing Co. between July 1 and July 6 during normal hours. All beer will remain in cold storage until judging.
  • Submissions are due Saturday, July 6 before 9 pm at Raised Grain Brewing Co.
  • Pre-Judging will occur at Raised Grain Brewing Co. on Sunday, July 7.
  • Final judging will occur on Wednesday, July 17 at 6 p.m. at the Waukesha County Expo Grounds-Arena Exhibits Building.
  • Entry fee is $5, and each entrant will receive a complimentary Adult Admission ticket valid on Wednesday, July 17th, 2019.
  • Multiple entries are allowed, but only one entry per class.
