Drunk Driver Hits Pole, Several Businesses Lose Power

WAUKESHA, WI — A car crash late Tuesday evening resulted in several businesses losing power.

Waukesha police responded to the intersection of E. Moreland Blvd. and E. Main St. just before 11 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a car that had crashed into a pole.

When police arrived and investigated, they learned that one driver was intoxicated, and was later taken into custody. Their vehicle was towed from the scene.

According to reports, the crash resulted in severed power lines. We energies was contacted in order to safely handle wiring issues and to restore power.
