The 5K race or 2-mile walk course takes participants around the perimeter of the fairgrounds including running in gravel, grass, dirt (possibly mud) and asphalt. Both the run and walk will finish on the south end of the grounds, near the Leinie Lodge, site of the annual Kiwanis Pancake breakfast at the Fair. Participants are encouraged to stay and enjoy the pancakes after the event for just $6. Awards will be given to top finishers of the run in each division.
If you register by July 1, the registration fee is just $20 for adults and $10 for children (17 & under). Registration includes one all day admission to the Fair for Saturday, July 21 and a complimentary race T-shirt. Registration after July 1 is $25 for adults and $15 for children and does not guarantee a
T-shirt. New this year is the option to register a team or a family for a discounted rate before July 1. Online registration closes at 11:59 pm on Thursday, July 19 but on-site individual registration is available the day of the race.
