HAWS Goes to the Fair

Waukesha animal resource center hosts annual pet fair, collection drive

Hot Rod, the burned kitten being treated by HAWS, is making a speedy recovery! The 8-week-old feline was brought to HAWS after being found on a busy highway; he has extensive burns on
his abdomen and paws. Donations for his care can be made at hawspets.org.

HAWS’ 9th Annual Pet Fair in Menomonee Falls is Saturday, August 20th from 9am-4pm at Rotary Park (Fond du Lac Ave. at Lilly Rd.). This FREE, pets-welcome event features local vendors of pet products and services,a K9 police unit demo, microchipping, games, raffles, food, beverages,
plus meet'n'greets with adoptable pets from HAWS and our rescue partners. Bring an item from HAWS’ Wish List and receive a free 5x7 digital image of your pet from Nancy G. Photography. Come, sit – and stay all day!

The Friends of HAWS annual Clothing & Textile Drive is Saturday, August 27th from 10am-3pm, in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul. Reduce your “carbon pawprint”: donate clothing, footwear, accessories and linens. Go green and help 2 organizations in Waukesha!

HAWS’ Mobile Adoption Center’s
August calendar includes special visits to the National Night Out celebrations in Delafield, Mukwonago and Waukesha, Jammin’ on Janesville, and Waukesha’s Friday Night Live! Dates, details and a complete list of mobile visits are available at hawspets.org.

HAWS, a non-profit organization established in 1965, assists 8,000 animals each year and welcomes more
than 35,000 human visitors to our shelter annually.
