HAWS TO HOST NORTH SHORE ANIMAL LEAGE AMERICA'S TOUR FOR LIFE 2016
Waukesha animal resource center announces national adoption event tour stop in Waukesha

HAWS, the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, joins North Shore Animal League America’s 2016 Tour For Life™ – the world’s largest national cooperative life-saving mobile pet adoption event - sponsored by Purina®. Highlighted by adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and small animals, and in partnership with Elmbrook Humane Society (EBHS), this local event will also include pet toy and treat vendors and giveaways from Purina®, HAWS and EBHS.
The Waukesha Tour for Life 2016 stop is Friday, April 22nd from noon-6pm at Stein's Garden & Home, 2220 E. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Along with dozens of adoptable pets, the local event features an “Ask the Expert” corner, special goodies for all adopters and a voucher for a free microchip or I.D. tag for the first 100 visitors! Meet CV from B93.3 radio, learn about life-saving animal programs and “plant the seed of pet adoption” in the Waukesha County community and beyond on this 50th anniversary of Earth Day.
From March through May, Tour For Life™ travels throughout the United States, helping shelters and rescue groups generate more awareness of their organizations and find homes for the many adoptable animals in their care.

HAWS, a non-profit organization established in 1965, assists 8,000 animals and welcomes more than 35,000 human visitors to our shelter each year.
As an open admissions and full service shelter, HAWS assures sanctuary for animals in need while offering countless programs and services to promote responsible pet ownership and prevent animal abuse.

EBHS, a non-profit organization incorporated in 1964 and achieving No Kill status in 2011, assists approximately 2,000 animals each year.
Our mission is to provide shelter for homeless animals, promote the human animal bond, and prevent animal cruelty and neglect. EBHS is located at 20950 Enterprise Ave., Brookfield, Wisconsin.
