The public is invited to celebrate 35 years of service to Waukesha County's homeless population at the Hebron House of Hospitality

WAUKESHA, WI — The public is invited to celebrate 35 years of service to Waukesha County’s homeless population at the Hebron House of Hospitality (HHH) Birthday Breakfast on Thursday, June 1 from 7:30 AM-9AM.

With three facilities in Waukesha, Hebron House is the largest shelter service in the county, and accepts all people regardless of their circumstances.

Individuals and families with nowhere else to go are able to live temporarily, sleep safely and work hard to get their life back on track while in shelter care. Every client is provided with intense case management to set goals, gain job skills, secure employment or a source of income, connect with community resources, and find permanent housing.

In 2015, over 27,000 individuals needed shelter services statewide. 43 percent were women and children who had no option but shelter. Using emergency rooms costing $1,000/visit for routine healthcare or inpatient stays costing $2,000/night instead of shelter, makes homelessness very expensive to taxpayers and communities.

Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to help local individuals and families get through their housing crisis. Hebron House of Hospitality specializes in individualized care that addresses issues blocking a client’s ability to maintain a stable place to live.
