Homeless Sex Offender to be Released Back into Waukesha Tuesday
A registered sex offender convicted in 1986 and 1992 for having sex with a child under 13 years old is being released.

WAUKESHA -- A registered sex offender convicted in 1986 and 1992 for having sex with a child under 13 years old is being released back into the community Tuesday as a homeless person.
Fortunato Carrion, Jr., age 76, will be released Tuesday and will be on GPS monitoring, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's office.
"We want to make sure that the community remains vigilant and ensure they fully understand the seriousness of this offender, especially since he will not have permanent housing upon release," Waukesha County Sheriff's officials said Monday.

He will be required to make regular contact with his assigned agent, advising them of his locations. This will also be verified through the use of GPS. He will be required to meet the Wisconsin Department of Corrections extensively upon his release.
With the increase in the number of homeless offenders upon release, citizens are encouraged to go to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections website for more information. This allows for searches by name and zip code, and also allows community members to sign up for email notifications.
