Intoxicated Driver Gets Stuck on Tracks, Tries Running from Police

Waukesha police successfully tracked down an apparent intoxicated driver early Tuesday morning after the driver initially got his car stuck.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police successfully tracked down an apparent intoxicated driver early Tuesday morning after the driver initially got his car stuck on the railroad tracks.

According to police reports, officers responded to a call just after 2 a.m. of a suspicious person near the intersection of Maple Ave. and Williams St.

A man in a white T-shirt got his car stuck on the tracks west of Maple, and the man, fled from the vehicle which he left stuck railroad tracks.

Authorities notified Canadian National of the situation but were able to tow the vehicle from the tracks before any trains passed through.

The man which fled the scene eventually caught up with the intoxicated man and took him into custody just before 3 a.m.
