The Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra kicks off the 2016 Music by the Lake series with an afternoon of Viennese waltz music. You won’t be able to sit still during the program – and better yet, you won’t have to. Instructors from Dance Factory will be on hand before the show to help you and your favorite dance partner learn the waltz’s basic steps. The program includes Johan Strauss Jr.’s ever-popular “Tales from the Vienna Woods” and “The Blue Danube” as well as works by Lehar, Mahler and Tchaikovsky. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes for what promises to be a rousing performance.
