Victim In Lisbon Shooting, 18, Had Shotgun Wound To Chest: Report

Authorities have identified the man who died in the shooting, and are continuing to investigate.

WAUKESHA, WI -- The Waukesha County Sheriff's office is reporting that they have taken one person into custody who they believe is responsible for shooting and killing a man Wednesday afternoon.

On Thursday, authorities reported that the victim has been identified as 18-year-old Lisbon man Austin McGuire.

According to reports, deputies responded to the area near Lisbon Road and Maple Ave. on a report that a man had a gunshot wound to the chest. When they arrived, they saw McGuire laying on the kitchen floor in need of immediate attention.

Authorities said first responders started life-saving measures and transported McGuire to the Community Memorial Hospital. He was pronounced dead while at the hospital, authorities say.

According to a WISN 12 report, the shooting happened near Lisbon Road and Maple Ave. and involved a 21-year-old Milwaukee man whom police suspect was the shooter. Authorities have yet to publicly release any potential motive for the shooting.
