Man's Death 'Unthinkable' After Airport Road Car Accident
Family says that Mikey Warner was walking in a crosswalk on his way to catch a bus that would have taken him home.

WAUKESHA, WI -- The family of a 50-year-old Waukesha man is mourning his unexpected loss after he was seriously injured in a car accident last week, only to die two days later.
According to Waukesha police reports, officers responded to the intersection of W. Moreland Blvd. and Airport Road just before 12:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Oct. 16 for a car accident between a driver and Mikey Warner.
Family says that Warner was walking in a crosswalk on his way to catch a bus that would have taken him home, when he was struck by an inattentive driver.

"Early Thursday morning the unthinkable happened when Mikey suddenly passed away, cause unknown. This past Sunday would have marked his 51st birthday," family wrote.
"He was an incredibly kind and gentle soul and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mother Marilyn, brothers Matt, Ray, Billy and Jimmy, and sister Janet as well as nieces, nephews and many other loved ones," family said.
Now, the family is trying to raise the money they need to give Warner a proper burial next to his grandmother. "His wish was to be buried next to his grandmother and we want more than anything to be able to do this for him," Danielle Brunet wrote on Warner's GoFundMe memorial page.
