The village mixes a historic past with modern elements and scenic beauty. How important is it to manage that mix?

It's critically important to future economic growth. Gone are the days of the big box restaurants and retailers, people are seeking small quaint businesses tucked into districts filled with historic architecture.

Main Street pocket parks that offer community activities that are walkable, and bike able close to areas where we live. It's an untouched area of growth for the Village one well worth exploration.

What do you feel is the most important issue is to residents?

Inflexible revenue structure and levy limits that are resulting in fewer dollars to keep pace with the increasing costs of equipment, materials and ultimately a narrowing of focus on essential village services such as public safety, road maintenance and infrastructure leave less available for economic development.
