Milwaukee Weather Flirted With 128-Year Old Record Low

MILWAUKEE — Saturday's low temperature dropped to 40 degrees, well above the record low of 31 degrees, set in 1895, but Sunday was not so hot. The low temperature for Sunday was 36 degrees, which was two degrees above the record low of 34 degrees, set in 1888.

The encouraging news is that next week, starting Monday, the mercury will rise again, approaching some sense of normalcy. (Whatever that might be for spring in Wisconsin, that is.)

Monday

A slight chance of showers between 11am and 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 66. Chance of precipitation is 50%.Monday Night A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44.

Tuesday

Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Tuesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 41. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday

Sunny, with a high near 57. North wind around 5 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 42. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday

Sunny, with a high near 62. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.Thursday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 45.

Friday

Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Friday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 48.
