Mother-Daughter Teams Volunteer to Build Home for Mom & Daughter
Habitat Waukesha volunteers, including mother - daughter teams, have begun building a home for Dawn & Myah just in time for Mother's Day.
Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County’s Women Build 2019 event is happening May 7-11 and 14-18, 2019, and features teams of volunteer builders from sponsors American Transmission Company, Bradley Corp., Eaton, First Business Bank, Hydrite, QPS and WaterStone Bank/Waterstone Mortgage. This unique event aims to recruit, educate, and support women in the process of building homes for community families.
Mother-daughter teams are participating on Saturday, May 11, just before Mother’s Day, as well as on Saturday, May 18. This is particularly poignant as the future homeowner in this fifth annual Women Build event is a mother-daughter team consisting of single mom Dawn and her 9-year-old daughter Myah.
The full schedule for the event is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the following dates:
