My three daughters that might have looked like me died after birth but, because of that I was connected to the daughter I was meant to have. The Chinese believe there is a red thread that connects those who are destined to meet. We adopted our daughter from China when she was 9 months old and while we don’t look alike, we are alike in many ways. She is the biggest gift in my life and I cannot imagine my life without her. While many call her lucky to have me, I am the lucky one! Here we are celebrating the Chinese New Year as we do every year!
