Moving Firewood in Wisconsin- Emerald Ash Borer and Gypsy Moth Quarantines Throughout Wisconsin

Learn about the Emerald Ash Borer and Gypsy Moth quarantines on firewood movement throughout WI Counties as the cool weather approaches .

It is now officially the fireplace and fire pit season in Wisconsin. Fall has arrived, and with it, Winter not far behind.

With this season, comes the need for firewood. To help contain the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer throughout Wisconsin, there are quarantines on the movement of firewood throughout Wisconsin.

The quarantines restrict the movement of ash products and firewood out of the quarantined areas. Quarantines are administered by the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

As if Septermber 7, 2016, the counties throughout Wisconsin that have a quarantine on firewood movement due exclusively to the Emerald Ash Borer are:
