New Storage Proposed For Waukesha North
School officials want to add 3 new storage units to school grounds to keep athletic equipment dry and away from rodents.

WAUKESHA, WI — If all goes according to plan, Waukesha North High School could get the outdoor storage units they need to properly store athletic equipment - a problem that school officials say has been going on since the 1970s.
According to the school's proposal documentation, budget cuts made during the school's construction in the 1970s meant that storage units were never built.
Instead, the school has set up sheds on school grounds over the years. According to Plan Commission documents, these three dilapidated sheds don't keep moisture or roadents out.

District officials want to buy two new metal storage units measuring 40 feet in length and one at 20 feet in length. Two would be located behind the "away" bleachers in the school's stadium and a third behind the school's "home" bleachers.
School officials say that a treeline would obscure the neighbors' view of the storage units, and a press box that exists on school grounds would obscure the smaller unit.
