Obituary: Agnes Rose Howard

Agnes Rose Howard, of Waukesha, died on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at LindenGrove Health Care Center at the age of 91.

She was born in Waukesha on May 8, 1920, the daughter of John and Rose Rosenmerkel. On Nov. 10, 1945, she married Robert W. Howard; he preceded her in death on July 23, 2009. Agnes was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church. Along with her husband she enjoyed fishing and taking her family to northern Wisconsin for the annual fishing trip. Agnes enjoyed sewing and knitting, gardening and going to the casino.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Douglas Colfax of Royal Oaks, CA, along with nieces, cousins and many friends.  In addition to her husband Robert, she was preceded in death by her dear son Gerald Howard and her sister Shirley Curran.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at , 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Entombment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
