Police say an incident over a middle school girl's selfie taken in the school locker room resulted in a conflict, and a police call.

WAUKESHA, WI — An incident over a middle school girl's selfie taken in the school locker room resulted in a police call, and a conflict between two students.

Waukesha police responded to Horning Middle School just after 5 p.m. on Friday on a report of juvenile trouble. According to Waukesha police, a female middle-school student was changing Friday in the school locker room when another student took a selfie in the same locker room.

Reports indicated that a female classmate appeared in the background in the photo, and that she was photographed changing her clothes with her shirt over her head, but was not otherwise exposed.

According to police, the girl who was changing in the photo asked the other girl to delete the selfie that she had taken. The girl who took the selfie told the other girl that she would not delete the photo, but would instead crop her out of the picture.

Later in the day, friends of the girl who took the selfie told the other girl that she was going to "beat her up" after she asked her to delete the photo, according to reports.

According to police reports, plans were made to have parents of the threatened girl reach out school administration on Monday regarding the situation. Police would also be advised of the situation, according to police reports.
