Postal Carrier Notices Water Pouring from 2nd Story of Waukesha House

A postal carrier at work saw something unusual Friday on Darlene Drive: water was pouring out of the second story of the house.

WAUKESHA, WI — A postal carrier was on their route just before 10 a.m. Friday when they noticed something out of the ordinary on the 300 block of Darlene Drive: water was pouring out of the second story of the house.

According to the police report, water could be seen through the front window, pouring out from the ceiling and seeping out of the exterior siding.

Authorities contacted the building inspector to notify the owner of the property and the water utility was able to shut off the water to the property.

Upon further investigation, water was pouring down from the second story, causing drywall to collapse and resulting in water pouring out of the siding outdoors.

Authorities observed substantial damage to the building.
