Purse Theft Caught On Video At Waukesha Restaurant
The Neighbors Bar and Grille wants to identify a man on video allegedly snatching a purse off a table.

WAUKESHA, WI—A man was caught on camera stealing a purse late Saturday night at a Waukesha bar and restaurant, according to staff at The Neighbors Bar and Grille.
The video shows a man wearing a backward gray hat and black shorts come into the restaurant and takes a black purse on a table near the door, said Chris Potratz, general manager of the business, located on Arcadian Avenue, told Patch.
The video, posted on the business's Facebook page, has been shared over 1,000 times.

The man captured on video drank a pitcher of beer but paid cash, otherwise they would have found out who he was, Potratz said.

The staff knows most of the patrons since it is a small family-owned establishment.

No one at Neighbors Bar and Grille has ever seen the man before.
Potratz said a few years ago they had some dine and dashers. He posted a video of the suspects and they were caught by police.
The purse theft is a first for the restaurant owner.
"It's irritating that somebody would do this here, although I'm very thankful for our outstanding camera system. It's clear as day and you are on camera the whole time in this bar, so the utter stupidity of this person is beyond me," Potratz said.
Potratz wants his patrons to feel safe. He said the restaurant is equipped with a top-notch surveillance system.
If anyone has information contact Detective Christopher Kohl of the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department at 262-548-7136.
