Red Cross Blood Drive at DaySpring Church and Schools

Pewaukee, Wi (April 15th, 2020) – Dayspring Church and Schools will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on April 15th, 2020 from 12pm to 6pm.

DaySpring Church and Schools is giving back to the community with the Red Cross. Giving blood is still essential during these challenging times. The blood drive filled up quickly and the Red Cross is following all CDC guidelines to ensure a safe event. DaySpring is asking all those in the community who are able to consider donating to ensure the needs are still met.

Blood is routinely transfused to patients with cancer and other diseases, premature babies, organ transplant recipients and trauma victims, according to the Red Cross.

Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, B negative and A negative. According to the Red Cross, type O negative is the universal blood type that can be safely transfused to anyone, and is often used to treat trauma patients.
