Walmart T-Shirt Mixes Up Maryland and Massachusetts
Nation's biggest retailer slapped the word "Terps" over an outline of Massachusetts on a T-shirt design, and was called out by a customer.

Both states start with an M and love their seafood.
Both are original colonies located on the East Coast.
So Maryland and Massachusetts are interchangeable, right?

Nope, say Terrapins fan.
Sharp-eyed Walmart shopper and Twitter user Samantha Ficco of Lynchburg, VA, called out the countryβs biggest retailer recently for putting the word βTerpsβ and the letter βMβ over an outline of the state of Massachusetts in its UMD clothing line.

She shared the companyβs mistake on Twitter.
Dear @Walmart I want to inform you that you're selling UMD shirts with the state of Massachusetts on them. pic.twitter.com/RjzK4CdOHH
"Dear @Walmart I want to inform you that you're selling UMD shirts with the state of Massachusetts on them," Ficco tweeted.
The graphic appeared to confuse the Chesapeake Bay for Cape Cod Bay.
Walmart told Patch on Tuesday, "We are working to find out how this happened and removed the shirt from stores. We apologize to the Terps for the mistake."
The company's reply on Twitter: "Weβre so embarrassed we may never stick our head out of our shell again! Thanks for guiding this lost Terrapin back to MD!"
