Sam Foltz, Mike Sadler Die in Waukesha County Crash; Country Mourns Loss
Sam Foltz and Mike Sadler were teaching at a football camp at Kettle Moraine High School before their fateful drive home ended in tragedy.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis.-- Nebraska punter Sam Foltz and former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler died late Saturday in a single-vehicle crash while they were returning from a football camp in Waukesha County.
The two men were student instructors for the Kohl's Kicking Camp at Kettle Moraine High School in Wales.
"We mourn today with the Foltz and Sadler families. We mourn today with the football programs of Nebraska and Michigan State. We mourn today with all of the people who were better men and women for knowing Sam and Mike. Our thoughts and prayers are with them," Jamie Kohl, Kohl's Kicking Camp director said in a statement on Sunday.

Fire and rescue from multiple agencies responded just before midnight to a single vehicle crash on Beaver Lake Road in the area of Beaver View Road in the Town of Merton.
Upon investigation it was determined that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Beaver Lake Road, lost control on the wet pavement, left the roadway, and struck a tree. Speed appears to be a factor in the traffic crash.

Police identified the driver as Michael R. Sadler, a 24-year-old male from Grand Rapids Michigan. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A passenger was identified as Samuel N. Foltz, a 22-year-old male from Grand Island Nebraska. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second passenger was identified as Colby J. Delahoussaye, a 21-year-old male from New Iberia Louisiana. He was transported by ambulance to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for treatment.
According to ESPN, Nebraska players held a vigil in honor of Foltz on Sunday afternoon outside Memorial Stadium. The stadium's scoreboard displayed Foltz's initials. Community members dropped flowers at the foot of the statue that memorializes fallen quarterback Brook Berringer, who died in a plane crash 20 years ago this April.

Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio said "The world has lost a rising star who dreamed big and was accomplishing those dreams, one after another," Dantonio said. "He was one of those people that brightened your day. I always say to try and be a light, and he truly was a light in this world," as reported by the Detroit Free Press.

This accident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriffβs Department.
