Standoff At Baymont Hotel In Waukesha Ends; Man In Custody
The standoff began Friday night after someone reported hearing gunshots from a hotel room.
WAUKESHA, WI — A man is in custody following a standoff with police Friday at a Baymont Hotel in Waukesha, according to a report.
The standoff began just before 6 p.m. at the hotel located at 2111 E. Moreland Blvd., the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. Authorities were trying to serve a 44-year-old man with a commitment order when he became uncooperative, threatening the officers and firing two gunshots.
Officers shot back, according to the Journal Sentinel, but did not hit the man, who was taken into custody around 8:45 p.m.

Police did not release the man's name.
