Threat of Armed Man Prompts Carroll University Lock Down Monday Night
Carroll University was put on lock down while additional officers responded to the scene.

WAUKESHA -- Carroll University was put on lock down Monday night after a man was caught looking into the windows of the Humphrey Memorial Chapel, possibly armed with a gun.
UPDATE:
According to Waukesha Police Department daily call logs, the man was a 15-year-old relative of a Carroll University professor.
According to information released by Waukesha Police, officers quickly arrived on scene and located a subject lying on the grass to the rear of the building.
Officers were able to briefly talk with the subject from a distance, until the subject grabbed the unknown object and ran into the classroom through the unlocked door.

Carroll University was put on lock down while additional officers responded to the scene, including the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department Armored Vehicle.
Officers worked closely with Carroll University Public Safety to quickly isolate and contain this incident to the single building. The Waukesha Police Department Communications Center made phone contact with the professor and students inside the building and quickly determined the subject was not a student and was not armed.

Once the threat had passed, Carroll University Public Safety was able to quickly lift the lock down and classes resumed.
