Wanted Man In Loud Van Near School Tased Before Arrest: Police

When a loud van near Horning Middle School was called in to police for having loud music, a wanted man was inside.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police say they arrested a wanted man, but not after he struggled with officers during his arrest, and had to be tased.

According to police reports, an anonymous caller reported a suspicious van parked near the four-way stop sign near the 1900 block of Wolf Road just after 11 p.m. on Oct. 31.

The caller stated the van was suspicious because people inside the van were playing loud music and was parked near Horning Middle School late at night, according to police reports.

When police responded to the area where the van was parked, officers learned that one of the occupants had an active warrant out for his arrest, reports indicated.

Waukesha police told Patch that the wanted person was in the area visiting someone he knew. Officers attempted to arrest the wanted man when he tried to run from officers. Police stated that officers caught the wanted man, who continued to resist the officer's attempts to safely conduct the arrest.

Police reports stated that the wanted man had been tased during the altercation. An ambulance was deployed to the scene and cleared the man after he initially reported chest pain.
