Waukesha 4H Family Fun Day Coming Up

4-H is not just for farm kids, it also focuses on public speaking, science, technology, arts, leadership, citizenship and so much more!

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- The UW Extension Waukesha 4-H will be holding an exciting Family Fun Day on Sunday September 18th at the EB Shirts Environmental Center, 810 W College Ave in Waukesha.

The event will kick off with a 5K Fun Walk/ Run at 10:00 am on the beautiful Glacial Drumlin State Trail, with a fun interactive kids walk to follow. Registration is open to the public for $35 for adults and $10 for kids, which can be completed in advance or in person.

The county wide 4-H Open House will also take place that day from noon- 3:00 pm at the EB Shurts center. The Open House will introduce families to all the many 4-H opportunities available to youth in 5K through high school! Each club will have free interactive games and activities for kids to do. Come on out to the 4-H Open House to talk with volunteers and members to learn about all of the different life skill projects and activities available to your family as 4-H members.

Information will be available at the open house for adults to learn how to get more involved volunteering and giving back to the community.
