Waukesha Christmas Tree Lighting Friday

New this year is the first-ever Doggy Reindeer Costume Contest.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Holiday cheer returns to Downtown Waukesha for the city's 2018 Old-Fashioned Christmas Tree lighting. The Mayor will be there to help start the holidays, and you can usually count on an appearance by Santa Claus, organizers say.

The family-friendly event also has Christmas carols and hot cocoa from the Salvation Army.

New this year is the first-ever Doggy Reindeer Costume Contest. Guests are invited to dress up their dogs like a holiday reindeer and bring them out to the tree lighting for prizes.
