Waukesha County DA Endorses Lau for Circuit Court Judge
Lau and her opponent, Jack Melvin III, are running to succeed Waukesha County Circuit Court Branch 12 Judge Kathryn Foster.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha County District Attorney Sue Opper this week endorsed of Laura Lau for Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge, Branch 12.
“I support Laura Lau for Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge because she brings with her an unparalleled level of experience based on her work in the courtroom as an attorney and Circuit Court Commissioner,” Opper said in a prepared statement. “Laura currently presides over cases in all the different court divisions. She is very familiar with the issues that arise in these cases daily. Laura Lau will make a quick and smooth transition to judge.”
Lau and her opponent, Jack Melvin III, are running to succeed Waukesha County Circuit Court Branch 12 Judge Kathryn Foster. Foster has served on the Waukesha County bench since 1988, and will not seek another six-year term. Election for this race is April 3.
