Waukesha Denny's Closed Monday ... And Nobody Knew in Advance

Neither the customers nor the employees of the Waukesha Denny's restaurant on W. St. Paul Ave. saw it coming Monday morning.

WAUKESHA -- Neither the customers nor the employees of the Waukesha Denny's restaurant on W. St. Paul Ave. saw it coming Monday morning.

According to a report from the Waukesha Freeman, the Denny's restaurant closed for good on Monday, Nov. 21 without any notice.

According to the Freeman's report, a "store closing" sign was posted on the front door Monday as a sign removal company worked quickly to take the Denny’s logo off a brick wall while a dumpster and a U-Haul truck sat alongside the restaurant, which has become a staple of the Fox Run Shopping Center. The restaurant was originally built in 1978 and became a Denny’s in 1997.
