Waukesha Family of 6 Displaced in Friday Night Fire
A fire on Friday night on the 800 block of Charles Street has displaced a family of six people.

WAUKESHA, WI — A fire on Friday night on the 800 block of Charles Street has displaced a family of six people.
Waukesha police and fire responded to the 800 block of Charles St. on a report of a garage fire just before 4 p.m. Friday.
When they arived, they learned that smoke was coming from the house and was spreading.
Police learned that everyone was out of the house as fire fighters began to battle the fire.
According to the report, a cat had gone missing after the house was evacuated - but was later located unharmed in the back bedroom of the house.
By just after 4:20 p.m., the fire department reported that the fire hadbeen stopped.
We energies gas and electrical workers responded to the scene to disconnect servies to the damaged building.
The family, which was reported to be a family of three adults and three children could not return to their home due to smoke and fire damage.

The renters told authorities that they had alternate means for shelter, and Red Cross was advised of their situation.
