Waukesha Hiring For Summer Seasonal Jobs Now

Officials are encouraging interested parties to apply soon, as most positions will be interviewing in March.

WAUKESHA, WI -- The first cold weather of 2019 may just be blowing in, however the City of Waukesha is looking for seasonal summer help. Officials are encouraging interested parties to apply soon, as most positions will be interviewing in March.

Youth Soccer League Officials:

14 yrs. and older Must be available to work Saturday, starting at 9:00 am, early April through May and early September through October. Soccer knowledge is required.

Youth Soccer League Site Supervisor:

18 yrs. and olderMust be available to work Saturday, starting at 8:30 am, early April through May and early September through October. Soccer knowledge is required.

Saratoga Softball Supervisor:

21 yrs. and older ASA Umpire Certification Preferred. Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 6:00-11:00 pm, Mid-April through August.

Saratoga Softball Scorekeepers:

16 yrs. and older Games are played Monday-Friday, 6:15-10:30 pm, late April through August. Scorekeepers will also need to announce games.

Buchner Supervisor/Scorekeeper:

18 yrs. & older Must be available to work Monday-Thursday, 6:00-11:00 pm, mid-April through July.

Youth Baseball, Softball Officials:

16 yrs. & older Games will start the week of mid-June and be completed by the beginning of August. Knowledge of baseball and/or softball is required.

Youth Gymnastics Instructors/Assistants:

16 yrs. & older Instructor/Assistants needed Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Knowledge of gymnastics/tumbling is required-WPRF will train.

Group Fitness Instructors (Substitutes):

18 yrs. & older National Certification required. Substitutes needed for morning and evenings.

Facility Attendants:

18 yrs. & older Summer weekend attendants needed for buildings, park areas & formal gardens.

Parks & Facilities Maintenance Workers:

18 yrs. & older Maintenance workers needed weekdays, weekends, 1st & 2nd shifts. Athletic field prep, grass mowing & trimming, building maintenance with an emphasis on janitorial duties and painting, park maintenance, flower bed maintenance, building or parks/landscape maintenance experience preferred.

Before & Afterschool Instructors:

18 yrs. & older Work with children, weekdays, during before/afterschool hours, September-June.

Playground Leaders:

18 yrs. & older Work with children in park setting, must be available to work weekdays, June-August.

Lifeguards, Swim Lesson Instructor, Concession Workers:

16 yrs. & older Must be available to work throughout the outdoor pool season, June-August. Lifeguards and Swim Instructors must be certified through the American Red Cross.

Front Desk Attendants:

16 yrs. & older Must be available to work throughout the outdoor pool season, June-August.

Temporary Office Help:

18 yrs. & older Approximately 8 weeks of work at WPRF office, May-June.

Internships:

18 yrs. & older Internships are available throughout the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department, including areas such as Recreation Management, Forestry, Grounds Maintenance, Marketing & Special Events.

Adult Softball/Umpire Officials:

18 yrs. & older Hours available Monday-Friday, late April through the beginning of October. Previous experience helpful.

Adult Basketball Officials:

18 yrs. & older Hours available Tuesday or Wednesday evenings, December through March. Previous experience helpful.

Adult Touch Football Officials:

18 yrs. & older Hours available Wednesday evenings, September through October. Previous experience helpful.

Volunteer Youth Coaches & Paid Youth Coaches:

18 yrs. & older The City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry is looking for youth sports coaches in the sports of soccer, baseball, softball and T-ball. A background check is required and must be completed prior to a team being assigned. Soccer season will run from mid-March through the end of May and early September through October. The youth baseball, softball and T-ball will run from mid-May through the beginning of August.

Recreation Assistants:

18 yrs. & older Work at a variety of special events including concerts, movies, beer gardens. Assistance may include concession work, set ups, tear downs, and general special event labor. A variety of opportunities are available throughout the year, mostly evenings and weekends.
