Reverse Parade for 4th of July

The City of Waukesha has made the difficult decision to make changes to our annual 4th of July Celebrations. For this year’s 4th of July celebration, the City will hold a reverse parade. Parade units will be stationed along a predefined route. Those attending the parade will remain in their vehicles and drive the route. Everyone will be encouraged to decorate their vehicles. This reverse parade will allow for public participation while maintaining social distancing. More details will be coming.

The City will not be holding the annual Fireworks display. Various alternatives were explored. However, due to a variety of logistical issues including the need to maintain social distancing and the amount of traffic expected it was determined to not be feasible to hold the fireworks.

We are all disappointed and look forward to resuming our full festivities in 2021.
