Waukesha Planet Fitness Plans Move Forward

WAUKESHA, WI -- The developers of a popular health and fitness club cleared a legal hurdle this week as Waukesha officials signed off on plans for a new Planet Fitness.

According to city officials, a developer submitted plans for a 20,000 sq. ft. Planet Fitness to be built near the corner of E. Main St. and Manhattan Drive in a lot in front of the Woodman's grocery store.

Plans brought forward to the city include 250 parking spaces with the majority of them being located to the west of the building.

Curbed landscape islands are proposed for the site, and the site's landscaping plan has been enhanced with more trees and perimeter plantings among other city recommendations.

The plans will now be forwarded to the city council for approval.
