An ongoing neighbor dispute brought police to the area last night over the issue of a smashed watermelon.

WAUKESHA -- An ongoing neighbor dispute brought police to the area last night over the issue of a smashed watermelon.

Last night sometime after 3 a.m. an unknown suspect smashed a watermelon in the victim's front yard. There was also a fork and knife left on scene.

According to the police report, this incident is the latest in an ongoing conflict between two residents on the 600 block of Western and on the 1900 block of Summit revolving around parking issues and property damage.

One resident is alleging that the resident on Summit is running a business out of their house and parking heavy trucks on the road.

Police spoke with the suspects who reportedly left the watermelon in the front yard and the the knife was found to come from the suspect's home.

The apparent victims in this case were given options and wanted this documented for further proceedings.
