Waukesha Police Department Receives Firehouse Subs Grant

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation continues to be a valuable resource for first responders throughout the country and has recently provided a $18,399 grant award to Waukesha Police Department. The funding will be applied toward the purchase of four electric assist bicycles, allowing officers to patrol the city and engage with the community in a positive way. To celebrate the receipt of this new equipment, local Firehouse Subs restaurant and Waukesha Police Department spokespeople acknowledged the grant award during an in-person event Sept. 21.

First responders nationwide are often the first to experience the effects of a crisis. As communities gradually recover from the pandemic, additional safety protocols and equipment needs have created new challenges for first responders on the front line. During these unique and difficult times, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® is committed to helping organizations like Waukesha Police Department to continue its lifesaving work within local communities.
