Wind chills will gradually improve Thursday afternoon into Friday as we warm up into the weekend. However, there is a chance for snow up to two inches, primarily along and south of a line from Lone Rock to Madison to Kenosha, Thursday afternoon and evening that may impact the evening commute.

District officials said schools stand a better chance to be open on Friday, Feb. 1 as the cold temperatures are expected to break Thursday afternoon.
