Waukesha Salvation Army Calls For Food Donations

The early 2018 weeks of January and February are often a slow period for food pantry donations of needed food.

WAUKESHA, WI — According to the Waukesha Salvation Army, the early 2018 weeks of January and February are often a slow period for food pantry donations of needed food. The Waukesha Salvation Army is issuing a special call for some specific foods that are both easy-to-purchase and for recipients to prepare. The list includes:

  • Hamburger and Tuna Helper
  • Canned Tuna and Chicken
  • "Chef Boyardee" type meals
  • Baked Beans
  • Canned Beans
  • Soups
  • Instant White Rice
  • Dinty Moore Beef Stew
  • Canned Spam

At this time, no canned vegetables or fruits are needed. Donors may drop off gifts at the downtown Waukesha Community and Worship Center, at 445 Madison Street, which is near the hospital. Please go to the double red doors adjacent to parking lot, behind the red brick building.
