Waukesha West Star Schobert Gets NFL Chance
He goes to the Cleveland Browns after starring as a Wisconsin Badger

WAUKESHA — Joe Schobert is officially a Cleveland Brown.
The standout linebacker from Waukesha West High School and one-time walk-on at the University of Wisconsin was taken with the first pick of the fourth round of the NFL draft Saturday, the No. 99 pick overall, by the Cleveland Browns.
"It has been a good journey," Schobert said by phone to the Journal Sentinel Saturday night. "Ever since I left West I always believed in myself. Being a walk-on was hard but fortunately for me I got a scholarship pretty quick and the rest was just proving myself."
Cleveland's pick of Schobert, who won the Jack Lambert Trophy in 2015 as the nation's best linebacker, is getting positive reviews.
