Waukesha West's Conor Blount to QB at Oregon State
Blount joins Oregon State head coach Gary Andersen as the latest member of his 2016 recruiting class.

WAUKESHA — Waukesha West High School star quarterback Conor Blount has been named as the latest member of the Oregon State 2016 football recruiting class, with the news coming over the last week.

The 6'1, 185 lb. Waukesha West senior had completed 56.8 percent of his passes for 1,413 yards and 18 touchdowns his senior season. He led the Wolverines to an 11-3 mark and the WIAA Division 2 state championship game in 2015.
According to a report by the Statesman, Blount join a quarterback competition that includes junior Darell Garretson, the projected starter, sophomore Marcus McMaryion, and freshman Mason Moran (Chandler, Arizona).

Blount had originally given a verbal commitment to UW-Madison as a preferred walk-on.
