Waukesha Woman Assaulted by Man in Donald Trump Hat: Report

The woman was thrown to the ground while walking her dogs. "It's time to put you back in your place woman" the man reportedly said in anger.

WAUKESHA, WI — Earlier last week, Waukesha Patch reported that Waukesha police were searching for an assault suspect after a male reportedly assaulted a female near the Metro Station midday Friday.

WISN 12 is now adding to that story, reporting that the man who assaulted the dog walker was sporting a red Donald Trump "Make America Great Again" baseball cap.

Kathie Giorgio walks her two dogs around the same time every afternoon in her Waukesha neighborhood, according to the WISN report. Friday she was confronted by a man wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat trying to kick one of her dogs, according to WISN.

According to the WISN report, "He grabbed me by my shoulders and threw me off the sidewalk, and I fell over my dogs and landed on the grass. And he said, 'it's time to put you back in your place, woman.'"

"Do I blame Trump supporters? I don't," she said in the WISN report. "I think that it's just his rhetoric fed to a certain personality that is now coming out of the shadows who now feel like they have permission to act on whatever hate they have."
