
Christine Eriksen Stiles, of Waukesha, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012, at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 103.
She was born Sept. 20, 1908, in Kensal, North Dakota, the daughter ofΒ Christian and Bertha Malene Eriksen. She was a teacher, teaching in one-room schools in Kensal, North Dakota, and Regent, North Dakota, before coming to Waukesha where she married Lawrence C. Stiles on Aug. 30, 1941.Β She returned to teaching in 1960 and taught first grade at Hickory Grove School in New Berlin until she retired.Β She was a member of the Ina J. Reid Chapter of the Eastern Star and Sarah Circle at St. Lukeβs Lutheran Church, where she was a member for 61 years.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jerilyn (Larry) Lubahn of Rochester, MN, Karen (Dr. Robert) Davies of Waukesha and Judene (Dr. Zenon) Colque of Waukesha.Β She is further survived by her grandchildren, Jon (Laurie) Lubahn of Wanamingo, MN, Kurt (Tina) Lubahn of Kasson, MN, Erik (Dr. Gula Aliyeva) Davies of Bethel, AK, Sushil Davies, Dr. Kirsten (Brian Udovich) Davies of Oconomowoc, Dr. Kirk (Dr. Tracy) Davies of Mukwonago, Kari (Eric) Vincent of Milwaukee, Dr. Kristi (Tony Beltran) Davies of Eagle, Dr. Kent (Dr. Lindsey) Davies of Waukesha, Karin (Kevin) Wegner of Waukesha, Dr. Carla (Dr. Jim Duff) Colque of Nixa, MO, Erik (Angela) Colque of Waukesha, Dr. Alex (Dr. Molly) Colque of Brookfield and Julie (A.J.) Giese of Waukesha.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Nicole and Toni Lubahn, Allie and Wyatt Lubahn, Nolan and Brady Vincent, Kallin, Andrew and Taylor Davies, Bryce and Brynn Udovich, Erik and Ethan Duff, Odin, Tyr and Aleena Colque, Alyssa Colque and step-great grandchildren Shelby Savage and Dillon Saari, along with many nieces and nephews.Β She was preceded in death by her husband Larry in 1959, her parents, her brothers Sivert, Martin, Bjerge and Richard and sisters, Marie Eriksen, Myrtle Pewe and Elsie DuBois.Β

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service at St. Lukeβs Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll Street, Waukesha, WI 53186.Β Reverend Gary Liedtke and Reverend Kathy Boadwine will preside. A private family burial will be held on Friday at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin.
