United Way Connects the Community to Volunteer Opportunities
(June 25, 2014)—United Way in Waukesha County would like to invite volunteers to the following volunteer opportunities:
Office Painting – Waukesha
We're looking for 5-10 volunteers to come in for a day to help re-paint the walls of several rooms in our office. All volunteers must be 13 years or older.
Presto-Change-O Event - Milwaukee
Be a Girl Scout Event Volunteer and share your passion, have fun, and positively impact girls' lives. Activities are already created and materials provided. Assist or lead a group of 15-20 girls grades 2-3. Is it magic or is it science? Assist girls as they turn milk into ice cream, watch the soda soar and make homemade silly slime. Assist girls use movin’ groovin’ molecules to decorate a T-shirt. This event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5, 12:30-3:00 p.m. Events may require additional set up and clean up time, beyond the scheduled event. Staff will provide a detailed confirmation prior to the event. Requirements: Volunteers must be a minimum age of 18 years old. All volunteers must complete a brief application and background check.
ReStore Volunteer - Waukesha
Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County is opening a ReStore! The ReStore will need so many volunteers to help thrive! From cashiers to sales associates, stocking shelves, and updating websites. The ReStore has so many functions behind the scenes, and if you're interested in volunteering one time or setting up a recurring schedule, we'd love to have you! All volunteers will be trained for their opportunities, as appropriate. ReStore volunteers must be at least 14, with an adult present, or at least 16 to work without an adult. We are happy to teach any needed skills for a ReStore opportunity.
Event Processing Volunteer - Hartland
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is looking for volunteers to help with data entry and processing. Volunteers will compile, sort and verify data, read documents and enter data, and process registration data for reporting. Volunteers are needed on August 2, from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Must be 13 years or older.
