What Was That Smell in Waukesha Yesterday?
One resident called police over a strong burning smell and an unusual haze ... and was told it's normal.
WAUKESHA -- A resident on the 1400 block of Waukesha Ave. called police after noticing a strong smell of rubber burning in the area and reported an unusual amount of haze and smoke.
When police investigated just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday, they learned the rubber smell was coming from Waukesha Iron and Metal and that it was normal for the business.
