• Snack, sip, shop in downtown Waunakee (hngnews.com) — Downtown Waunakee businesses and the Chamber are bringing back the Mystic Night Market, a family-friendly evening of shopping, samples, and giveaways designed to spotlight local retailers. For $15, residents can visit more than 15 stops offering food, wine, beer, discounts, and prizes, all aimed at boosting Waunakee's small businesses heading into the holiday season.
• Waunakee Food for Kidz asks for support packaging its five millionth meal (hngnews.com) — Waunakee Food for Kidz is preparing to package its five millionth meal at Dane Manufacturing on Sunday, Oct. 11, and still needs local donations and volunteers to make it happen. More of this year's meals will stay in Dane County food pantries, while others continue supporting families in Ukraine and Haiti, giving Waunakee residents a very tangible way to fight hunger.
• Sun Prairie to imagine a week without driving with community audit (hngnews.com) — Dane County communities including Waunakee are recognizing Oct. 1–8 as Week Without Driving, encouraging residents to try getting around without a personal car. While Sun Prairie is hosting a Walk & Roll Audit to study safer streets, Waunakee residents are invited to join the broader challenge by walking, biking, rolling, or using transit for trips they'd usually drive.
