18-Year-Old Burglary Suspect Faces 10 Years for Wauwatosa Home Invasion
An 18-year-old Milwaukee man is in jail after he admitted to breaking into a Wauwatosa home with two accomplices.

WAUWATOSA -- An 18-year-old Milwaukee man is in jail after he admitted to breaking into a Wauwatosa home with two accomplices.
Jimmonte Ward has been charged with felony burglary, as a party to a crime and could face up to 10 years behind bars if he is convicted.
On Sunday, September 25 a Wauwatosa resident reported that while on the second floor of her residence located on the 2400 block of North 66th Street at approximately 10:10 p.m., she heard footsteps in the lower level of the home she shares with a fellow resident.

The only problem was that he was at work.
From the second level of the home, she yelled out “Hello?” She did not hear a response but did immediately hear cooking pots clinking in the kitchen and then hit the floor. She then heard the rear door to her residence open, his criminal complaint stated.
A Wauwatosa Police Officer dispatched to the scene stated that he inspected her home and observed what looked like pry marks on a front window. The corresponding screen to this window had been removed and placed on a couch directly in front of the window inside the residence, the complaint said.

Both residents reported to police that the following items were taken without their consent: a silver MacBook Air, $300 in cash, one pair of black Oakley brand sunglasses, an iPad Mini, and a Volkswagen Jetta GLI key fob. Total value of property stolen was approximately $2,320, the complaint said.
According to his criminal complaint, following Ward's arrest, he said that co-actor Nathaniel Turnbull pried open a window. Turnbull then let he and a suspect who is not named because he is a minor, home through the kitchen door. He said that Turnbull took some money, the minor took a laptop and tablets and he Ward searched for items but did not take anything.
Ward went on to say that when he and his cohorts heard a woman’s voice, they all ran out the of the house through the kitchen door.
He is currently being held in the Milwaukee County Jail on a $5,000 signature bond.
