Last year they organized 30+ community volunteers to clean over 50 headstones, trim trees, and transplant almost 100 tiger lilies to a hill that is hard to mow. The Wauwatosa Cemetery was established in 1854, but by 1860, the cemetery had outgrown that site and moved to its current location. Annis Avery Hill, the daughter of a Revolutionary War patriot is buried there and is the namesake for the Wauwatosa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A Revolutionary War veteran, James Morgan is buried nearby.
